A-1 Absolutely Best W.S. Online Archive:  Inform:  (University of Maryland, College Park), Extensive collection of online material about women, a database which serves those people interested in the women's studies profession and in general women's issues.  The database contains collections of conference announcements, calls for papers, and employment opportunities, as well as a picture gallery, course syllabi, and a significant number of government documents.

Advancing Women:   International Business & Career Community News, Networking, Strategy For Women in the Workplace, with specialized categories and links to Women in Education, Challenges for the Future of Education, Training Women for Leadership in Education, eDscape - online discussion of scholastic topics, classroom experiences, "teacher search" function enables building one's own online community, linking email addresses, Teaching Resources, Education Career Resources, Education to Eliminate Gender Bias, Special Report- Schools, InterNIC Academic Guide to the Internet, and InterNIC Guide to US Universities.  Especially interesting is the article, "Women Execs Seize Latin American Opportunity," which highlights the rapid growth of the Telecom industry and opening up opportunities for women.  Knight-Ridder Service, Oct. 1996.

Advancing Women in Leadership:  On-line professional, refereed journal for women in leadership.  The journal publishes manuscripts that report, synthesize, review, or analyze scholarly inquiry that focuses on women's issues.

American Association of University Women (AAUW):  Contains info about AAUW publications, US congressional voting record on key issues; a national organization that promotes education and equity for all women and girls.

The Complete List of the American Memory Collection of the Library of Congress:  Photos & prints of the women's suffrage movement, portraits of leaders, etc.

Comprehensive Women's Web Sites:  A few particularly comprehensive, multi-disciplinary women's studies/women's issues sites.

Education Index: Women's Studies:  A selective, annotated listing of Women's Studies resource sites.  Part of a much larger collection of resources, arranged by field.

FeMiNa: A Woman-Focused Information Resource:  A search engine for women-related online info, excellent links to Arts and Humanities and Entertainment sites.

Institute for Teaching and Research on Women (ITROW):  Offers bibliographies, fact sheets, and other resources for teaching and research on women.   Major Priorities are listed as Neighborhood Research - Research on economic restructuring, neighborhood resources, and child development; Research on Women - Research projects; Fact Sheets about Women - Important issues, and what research shows; Curriculum Development - Transforming the curriculum; and includes the following Institute Resources On and About Women:  Bibliographies, Internet Links - links to Web resources on women, and Newsletters - news of ITROW.

Internet Resources On Women: Using Electronic Media in Curriculum Transformation:  Frequently-updated information about online curricular resources in Women's Studies, with excellent listings of new resources for using the Internet.  Also see Women-Related Music Updates.

Rare Book, Manuscript, and Special Collections Library (Duke University):  The digitized collections include Documents from the Women's Liberation Movement, African-American Women, and Civil War Women. View pamphlets, letters, and even a songbook.

Scholarly Societies Project - Women's Issues:  Compiled by the University of Waterloo Library to facilitate access to webpages maintained by or for scholarly societies around the world concerned with women's issues.

Women and Talent:  Resources for gifted and talented women, articles and links to related sites, with additional links to Resources on creative expression.

Women  in Higher Education:  A monthly publication on issues facing women in academe.

Women's Centers at U.S. Universities:  A set of links compiled by the Women's Center at the University  of  Minnesota.

Women’s Internet Information Network:  a nonprofit organization dedicated to herstory; a networking site with information on women of achievement, female congressional representatives, exhibits, and speech archives.

Women of Color Resource Center:  The National Directory of Women of Color Organizations and Projects includes organizations that were founded by or are led by women of color; organizations whose membership and constituency are predominantly women of color; and organizations whose mission it is to address the range of social, economic, cultural and political challenges women of color face.

Women's Relationship with the Web:  Two bibliographies:  Women and the Internet; and Gender and Technology; plus an essay, book and film reviews, and links.

Women's Studies Resources Online:  (University of Illinois Women's Studies/WID Library):  Searchable Database on Women's Studies Programs, created and maintained by the National Women's Studies Association.

Women’s Studies/Women’s Issues Resources Sites:  Alphabetical listing of selective WWW sites which contain information about academic women’s study programs and women’s studies/women’s issues.  Links to more than 300 Women’s Studies programs and research centers.  Categories include:  Activism, Arts and humanities, Comprehensive, Multi-Disciplinary Sites, Health, International, Net Info, Science/Technology, Sexuality, and Women of Color.
