Getting to Know
Yourself
¨
Leadership 101 – a one-hour credit course with
an emphasis on self assessment; an introduction to and
overview of leadership basics
¨
30 documented hours of community service (with
a registered organization)
¨
Active participation in one or more student
clubs or organizations at MUW
¨
Participation in 4 Hearin sponsored events and
activities during the year
¨
Living on campus in the living/learning
community
Year 2
Getting to Know Others
¨
Leadership 201 – A one-hour credit course with
an emphasis on the psychology of leadership and the
interpersonal skills you will need to become an effective
leader.
¨
30 documented hours of community service (with
a registered organization)
¨
Active leadership role in one or more student
clubs or organizations at the MUW
¨
Participation in 4 Hearin sponsored events and
activities.
Year 3
Giving to the
Community
¨
Leadership 250 – a two hour credit course
designed for junior college transfer students that combines
Leadership 101 and 201
¨
Leadership 301 – a one hour credit course
exploring servant leadership and it’s impact on the
community
¨
Continued participatory involvement in student
organizations
¨
30 documented hours of community service (with
a registered organization)
¨
Participation in 4 Hearin sponsored events and
activities
Year 4
Giving back to the
Campus
¨
Leadership 401 – a one hour credit course
exploring leadership by example
¨
Serving as a mentor to new Hearin Leadership
participants
¨
Career exploration; participating in
opportunities to help shape the future (career day,
internships, study abroad, career services programs)
¨
Continued participatory involvement in student
organizations
¨
Participation in 4 Hearin Leadership sponsored
events and activities
