Alternative Break
Hearin Scholars travel to another community to do intense community service for the three-day weekend.  Past Alternative Breaks include Greenville, MS, the MS Gulf Coast for Hurricane Katrina Disaster Relief, and Jackson, MS.

Hearin Speakers
Gain real world knowledge of the diverse components of leadership through a variety of guest speakers such as Dave Coleman, Jonathan Sprinkles, Curtis Zimmerman, Paul Wesselmann, and Deb Sofield.

"W" Olympics
Teams build group dynamics through physical and mental challenges on our course.

Hearin High School Leadership Conference
Through nationally known speakers and team building activities, visiting high school seniors build their leadership potential.

Festival of Trees
Campus organizations and divisions purchase a Christmas Tree and decorate them with a chosen theme.  The trees and judged and the winning tree receives $100 towards a charity of that organization's choice.  The annual event brings special surprises such as homemade cookies, hot chocolate, and even Santa!
