Your Mississippi University for Women Award Letter

When you receive an Award Letter from MUW, you should read the information carefully and review the following information. This includes information on:

  • The costs of attending MUW for the upcoming academic year
  • The information necessary for you to understand the different types of financial aid that were awarded to you,
  • The steps you will need to take to secure your financial aid.

1) Visit the Banner Web to view Your Financial Aid Awards

For New Students

If the Financial Aid Office has received your completed FAFSA, your Award Letter will be mailed to the mailing address we currently have on file.  Your Award Letter will outline your specific awards.  If you have not completed a FAFSA and are interested in federal aid please go to How to apply for financial aid.

For Continuing Students

If the Financial Aid Center has received your completed FAFSA, your Award Letter will be available to view and accept on your Banner Web account.  The Banner Web will outline your specific awards and direct you to this site.  If you have not completed a FAFSA and are interested in federal aid please go to How to apply for financial aid.

2) Tuition and Fees

This page is provided by the Comptroller's Office to outline the cost of tuition and fees and on campus housing costs for the current award year. This will help you in understanding the direct costs you will be billed for by MUW.

3) Book Vouchers

Students who receive financial aid that will "exceed" the cost of all tuition and housing expenses may receive a book voucher to allow early purchases of books for the coming semester at MUW's bookstore. See the Comptroller's Office to obtain this voucher.
