Graduate Mission Statement:
Mississippi University for Women offers graduate programs
that provide students who have received a baccalaureate degree with
opportunities to learn research-based content beyond that of their
undergraduate programs while refining their skills as practicing
professionals. The mission of Graduate Studies follows the University's
Strategic Plan: (1) promoting academic excellence through programs that
result in individuals who are masters in their professions, (2)
maintaining a rigorous system of admissions and monitoring, (3) developing
leadership and research skills, and (4) fostering community service as
well as participation in state, regional, national, and international
organizations. Graduate faculty, administration, and staff at Mississippi
University for Women are committed to providing a quality environment with
