I. Minutes from February 18 meeting were approved with changes.

II. Copies of the new Motor Vehicle Procedure Guide you distributed. These procedures go into effect July 1, 2003. Please review and let Angie Atkins know if you have any questions or concerns ASAP.

III. Dr. Hansen as asked the DC to address the SACS criterion 3.2 relating to administrative and educational support units. If you have a good instrument of evaluation programs offered by your unit please bring samples to share at next meeting.

IV. Dr. Reddy will present a power point presentation on unit planning at our April meeting.

V. The first draft of new performance evaluations was presented. The committee looked at numerous samples from other universities. The new evaluation will be more generic and job specific than the old evaluations and are not intended for merit raises. If and when merit raises are available the supervisor will submit justifications for raises. The committee is going to go forward with refining the draft and will make a recommendation that evaluation process is tied to the employee’s anniversary date. Please share the sample evaluation with your staff for comments and suggestions.

VI. Review the Faculty Salary Increase Criteria and Procedures and bring suggestions for staff raises to April meeting.

VII. Policy for MUW Directors Council has been approved.

VIII. PS 1000 section 3.01 has been changed to reflect that DC is now a reviewing body.
