Cash
If you wish to make a cash gift to the university,
please bring it directly to the MUW Foundation, Room 107, Eudora Welty
Hall during our open hours (8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday).
Check
Checks should be made out to the MUW Foundation.
The name of the fund to which you are giving should be written in the notation
section of the check.
Bank
Draft
Bank drafts provide an easy way to make regular
gifts to The W by authorizing a specified amount of money to be withdrawn
from your bank account and given to the MUW Foundation each month.
This enables many donors to make larger total gifts over the course of
a fiscal year than might have been possible by giving once during that
year. To start a bank draft, simply send a cancelled check, a checking
account deposit slip, or a savings account deposit slip (with the account
number indicated) along with the name of the fund that should receive your
gift and the amount that should be withdrawn from your account each month.
Your bank draft is automatically renewed at the end of each fiscal year
unless you notify the Foundation otherwise.
Gifts
of Securities (Stocks, Bonds, Property, etc.)
Gifts of securities include gifts of stock, bonds,
real estate, etc. There are often significant tax advantages to making
such gifts. For more information on this method of giving, please
contact the MUW Foundation. It is important to consult with your
accountant, attorney, or financial planner before making gifts of securities.
Planned
Gifts/The Reneau Society
A planned gift includes charitable donations
made through wills, estates, life insurance, and/or other deferred gifts.
They often have significant tax advantages and sometimes offer income to
the donor or other designated parties. For many donors, planned giving
is a wonderful way to leave a more sizable gift than might otherwise have
been possible. It is important to consult with your accountant, attorney,
or financial planner before making a planned gift. For more information
on planned giving, please click on the planned giving link below.
