Welcome to the resource page for Mississippi University for Women's Blackboard Learn, Release 9.1.
As many of you know, our current learning management system, WebCT, was acquired by Blackboard in 2006. As a result, MUW plans to phase out our current WebCT system during the Fall 2010 term and operate from its newly purchased Blackboard Learn, Release 9.1 learning management system at the beginning of the Spring 2011 term. Even though this change may seem a little intimidating, MUW's support team is dedicated to making sure that this transition is as smooth as possible.

The Basics

The MUW Blackboard website can be
accessed at
http://muw.blackboard.com. |
|||
|
2. |
Logging into Blackboard (video)
Username: Your MUW ID number.
Password: Your birth date in the form of MMDDYY. |
|||
|
3. |
If you do not have a current MUW
email address, please visit McDevitt Hall room 115 or call 329-7282 and
request one. MUW email addresses are loaded into Blackboard from
Banner. If you do not have an MUW email address listed in Banner,
"none@muw.edu" is loaded as your
current email address until it is fixed. Changing your email
address in Blackboard will not work. Anything changed in
Blackboard will be overwritten by the content listed in Banner during
the next run of our automated process. |

Students should appear in
Blackboard automatically after registering for a course. During
registration day, the Blackboard instructors and users should be updated
every hour or two. After registration, the rosters and users
should be updated during the morning and night. |

If your password is not working, please attempt to solve the issue by first viewing this video. If you are still not having success, please call 329-7282 for further assistance.
