equations, and geometry. Math.com is a free site providing math help for
students, parents, and teachers. It includes homework help, games
and puzzles, math practice and test preparation, on-line
calculators, and more. FunBrain.com is an award-winning interactive
learning and edutainment website that links children, parents and
teachers is a member of the FamilyEducation Network, the Internet’s
largest K-12 and parent network. It features games, quizzes, and
help for teachers and parents.
AAA Math
features over 200 pages of K-8 mathematics lessons. Each lesson features interactive practice,
challenge games and an explanation of the topic. Education Place’s Math Center provides links to
online resources for pre-K through grade 8 teachers, including
professional development, textbook support, math activities, and
brain teasers. Mathmagic offers challenges that encourage
students in grades K-12 to use computer technology while increasing
problem-solving strategies and communications skills.

Educators is a really great site for following the NASA space
program. Unique resources for teachers and students. The
Weather Channel provides up to date weather forecasts from
around the United States. FEMA for Kids has added new activities to its website to help elementary and middle level students learn about and be prepared for natural disasters. http://www.fema.gov/kids/index.htm School Gardens is a
website that has a complete guide for planting a school garden along
with ideas and curricula to go with it. Sci 4 Kids is a great
site from the US Department of Agriculture’s Agricultural Research
Service that provides “science is everywhere you look.” It
also has a section called “Dr. Watts” where kids can email their
questions to ARS scientists. National Wildlife
Federation is a website full of good information for
environmental education. You can also access photos and
articles from several popular nature magazines. It’s a cool
