Sunday Afternoon in the Gallery
Art workshops and events for children ages 8 to 17. Free and open to the public, but pre-registration is required. All Sunday Afternoon in the Gallery workshops start at 2:00 and last for approximately 2 hours.
September 25: Experiment with photography using the sun. We will make cyanotypes outside. In case of rain, we will set special lighting conditions inside.
October 16: Galaxies and stars! We will make watercolors inspired by the Star Gazing: Astrophotography and Space Art exhibition.
October 30: Every year, Mexican families create elaborate home altars featuring flowers, candles, skulls, skeletons, food and drink as a way to honor their dead loved ones. Learn about the Mexican Day of the Dead as we will make paper flowers and sugar skulls in honor of this cultural tradition.
