The Field Auditor works under direction of the Manager or the Supervising Senior, Provider Audit.  The Field Auditor completes assignments timely while maintaining quality; performs desk audits, field audits on large or complex providers and post-audit activities; performs wage index reviews and cost report reopenings; performs reviews of excluded providers and provider-based attestations; and develops an understanding of Medicare laws, regulations and instructions.
 
 
Required Qualifications:
  • nA Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university, with a minimum 2.8 overall grade point average (GPA) and a minimum 2.8 GPA in accounting courses or CPA certificate or Master’s degree in Accounting. n
  • Travel between 10 - 20% or as required. n
  • Must have a basic working knowledge of personal computers and the Microsoft Office suite with a basic working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, E-mail and Internet Browser.
  • nEffective reading comprehension, writing, mathematical, analytical, speaking, and listening skills required.
