Wenstrom Named MUW Faculty Member of the Year for 2006

Dr. Jane Hurley Wenstrom, Mississippi University for Women professor of mathematics, was the 2006 recipient of the Faculty
Member of the Year award.

The MUW Alumni Association and MUW Mortar Board recognized her during graduation.

Wenstrom has served MUW since 1995, teaching a variety of courses such as college algebra, trigonometry, statistics, precalculus and Fortran programming.

During her career, she has authored or coauthored
several papers and publications involving mathematics, as well as presented and worked on several research projects.

She also is a member of the American Mathematical Society, the Association for Women in Mathematics and the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics.

Wenstrom is the 24th MUW faculty member to receive the Faculty Member of the Year title.
