Greetings on behalf of the Mississippi University for Women Office of Alumni Relations!

Our alumni have a significant role to play in preserving MUW’s past, contributing to its present, and working in partnership for its future. From attending alumni events to mentoring current students, alumni participation in the support of Mississippi University for Women enriches and strengthens our university in numerous ways.

The Office of Alumni Relations is vested with the responsibility for strengthening the relationship between the university and its alumni.

Throughout the year, the MUW Office of Alumni Relations sponsors and participates in events designed to bring together alumni, students, faculty and staff. We endeavor to encourage the continuing relationships between alumni by providing support services to the MUW Alumni Association as well as to regional, state and local chapters.

We strive to support MUW’s vision of academic excellence by encouraging our alumni to recruit outstanding students from their own communities, as well as by offering local mentorship opportunities.

Working with alumni on special projects also allows us to protect the rich history and traditions of Mississippi University for Women. Each year, during Homecoming, our 50-year reunion class is recognized as “Golden Girls.” Alongside the Office of Development, we collect information, pictures, and memorabilia of these special graduates, allowing them a chance to share their memories with alumni from every generation.
