Blackboard Training
MUW offers Blackboard training throughout the year for university faculty,
staff, and students. Depending on the circumstances, the training may be
provided over the phone, in an instructor's office, or in one of the campus labs.
Self-learning resources are available in the "Faculty Support" and "Student
Support" sections of MUW Online. If you are interested in obtaining additional assistance, please contact ITS at (662) 329-7282 or helpdesk@muw.edu.

MUW Online Workshops
Blackboard Basics Workshop (Faculty)
This Blackboard Basics Workshop (Faculty) is intended for faculty
members that are new to Blackboard 9.1 sp8. The workshop is
limited to 24 participants or less, and it covers such topics as
creating a course entry point, the Course Menu, Discussion Board,
using the Emails and Messages features, tool availability and visibility,
and content availabilty and visibility.

The Blackboard Basics Workshop (Students and Staff) is intended for
student and staff that are new to Blackboard 9.1 sp8. The workshop is
limited to 24 participants or less, and it covers such topics as logging
into Blackboard, locating your courses, the Course Menu, Discussion
Board, using the Emails and Messages features, submitting
assignments, and taking online tests.
Creating and Uploading Tests Workshop (Faculty)
The Creating and Uploading Tests Workshop is intended for online
and hybrid course instructors. The workshop is limited to 24
participants or less, and it covers such topics as creating a test,
suggested test settings, and uploading tests.
Navigating College Online (Students)
The Center for Academic Excellence hosts the "Navigating College
Online Workshop" every year. It is one of a series of workshops that are
intended for new MUW students. This particular session covers such
things as how to avoid computer viruses and scams, the basics of
online learning, and the seriousness of cheating online.
New Faculty Orientation (Faculty)
The New Faculty Orientation Workshop is intended for new faculty
members of MUW. The workshop covers such topics as logging into
Blackboard, locating your courses, using the Emails and Messages
features, university policies and procedures, and how to locate and use
university training materials.
Introduction to Respondus Lockdown Browser Workshop (Faculty)
The Introduction to Respondus Lockdown Browser Workshop (faculty)
is intended for faculty members that interested in using Respondus
Lockdown Browser in their online or hybrid courses. The workshop is
limited to 24 participants or less, and it covers such topics as the
benefits of using the Lockdown Browser, Lockdown browser installation, recommended Lockdown Browser usage, and procedures for creating
Lockdown Browser tests.
Introduction Blackboard Mobile Browser Workshop (Faculty)
The Introduction Blackboard Mobile Workshop (faculty) is intended for
faculty members that are interesting in using Blackboard Mobile with
their online or hybrid courses.. The workshop is limited to 24
participants or less, and it covers such topics as how to set up a mobile
test in Blackboard, what types of tests can be taken on a mobile device,
which devices can be used with MUW's system, and the benefits of using Blackboard Mobile.
