Important Announcements
Please take time to back up all of your Blackboard courses before May 14th.
On May 14th, we have scheduled an upgrade to the most stable version of
Blackboard, Blackboard 9.1 SP8. Therefore, Blackboard will be down on May
14th and 15th. We don’t anticipate any problems, but it is highly recommended
that you make a backup of your courses before this process begins.
Later this summer, the Blackboard courses from Spring 2011 will be archived.
Once they are archived, they will be completely removed from Blackboard. The
Summer 2011 courses will be archived during the Fall 2012 term.
Steps to backup a course (export course content)
1. Go to the Control Panel in your course.
2. Select “Packages and Utilities”.
3. Select “Export/Archive Course.
4. Select “Export.”
5. Check your email for a confirmation email.
6. Repeat steps 1-3.
7. Save exported file to your desktop.
